The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is a mandate for every believer, and we strive to be a church that makes and multiplies disciples. We encourage every member to be part of a one-on-one discipleship relationship for accountability, prayer, and training. In addition to one-on-one discipleship, we also seek to grow disciples through fellowship groups, family worship in the home, and short-term seminar classes on Christian living.
We desire to minister to our Cambrian Park community through meeting spiritual and physical needs. Our philosophy is to demonstrate our faith through our works as James 2 commands and to always pair it with a clear proclamation of the gospel, knowing that our neighbor’s deepest need is to be reconciled to a holy God through Christ alone. While outreach happens at an individual level, as each member is encouraged to meet the needs they see around them, we also collectively reach out to our community through service.
We take our calling very seriously to be witnesses for Christ in our backyard, city, and to the ends of the earth as the early church was commanded in Acts 1:8. CPBC supports like-minded missionaries around the globe who boldly herald the gospel where it has yet to be heard. As John Piper has said, “There are only three kinds of people: goers, senders, and the disobedient.” By God’s grace, He will enable us to continue to prayerfully and faithfully support gospel partners abroad, as well as raise up future goers within our midst.
During Sunday School and Seminars we open up God’s word and teach on various biblical topics in an interactive, classroom setting. In light of 2 Peter 1:3, we use this time to apply God’s timeless truths to every facet of life desiring that we would grow as a church in our knowledge of Christ who called us to His own glory and excellence.
Sunday School meets every week
Family Integrated - 9:30-10:20am in Sanctuary
Children age 4-10 - 9:15-10:20am in Room 2
Senior Bible Study - 9:15-10:20am in Room 4
At CPBC we love children and seek to have their hearts engaged and transformed by the love of Christ and the good news of the gospel. We do this best by equipping our parents to raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We encourage the little ones to see, experience, and learn how to worship God by actively engaging in our corporate gathering. For those in the process of training younger children, we also offer a baby room equipped with a sermon video feed for your convenience.
It is our desire to train the younger believers at CPBC to be missionally minded. Every other Friday, the Students on Mission group meets at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. It is a group focused on the discipleship of young men and women in the church through biblical discussions, prayer, fun, and service. This group is currently led by Pastor Kurt and Kirk Booth. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
